%X Winisis is an advanced information storage and retrieval software developed and maintained by UNESCO. It is being extended to the whole world without charge. Because powered by some core technologies like the special database schema and inverted file, it shows us the excellent abilities to handle records of varying length and provide the fast retrieval. This paper analyzes the key technologies of the Winisis in detail.
