%X For both humans and animals, creativity is important for attaining survival and evolutionary goal in uncertain environment. It has been neglected before, but the studies on animal creativity and innovation are receiving increasingly attention. In the present article, the authors summarized previous studies pertaining to creativity and innovation of animals and discussed the research trends in the field.
