Many studies indicated the significance of rapid eye movements (REM) and its cycle during sleep on the memory formation and consolidation. During awaking state, the aim of human eye movements is to obtain information from outside world. It should be a encoding procedure if a memory task involves. In addition, eye movements are related to human problem solving.
