%X People make self-evaluation by comparing themselves not only with others, but also with past selves. The previous research revealed that the motivation of self-enhancement played a crucial role on social comparison and temporal comparison. People often derogate others in social comparison and the past selves in temporal comparison, so that they can achieve self-enhancement and ultimately get good self-feelings.
