%X Although recent findings converge on the idea that prefrontal regions (PFC) was engaged during the working memory task and episodic long-term memory task, it remains unclear whether different regions play roles specific to working memory or episodic long-term memory. Researchers argued about the relationship between working memory and episodic long-term memory and supported different views. Some researchers support the view that prefrontal activation during episodic memory reflects the recruitment of specific working memory processes in the service of episodic memory. The others raise the possible that the same prefrontal regions implement reflective processes that support both working memory and episodic long-term memory. The present article supports the discussion to the questions above.
