%X In the past twenty years, inhibitory study has got considerable achievements in the domain of cognitive development. The present paper reviewed and analyzed the central theories, explored the relationship between inhibition and cognitive development from four aspects, cognitive development of early stage, cognitive aging, cognitive difference and the development of abnormal individual. Finally the disadvantage in current study and the perspectives of further inhibitory study are proposed.
