%X The paper takes account of the limit of conventional method of reliability. Utilizing optimization evaluation principle of extension method, the paper defines and calculates the effect degree and effect factor of subsystem and its failure mode to reliability of machining center. Under consideration of various failure items, the paper gives the detailed calculation for a machining center and provides reliability improvement means.
