%X The profound background of enterprise information architecture(EIA) is analyzed and the concept of EIA is further made clear in this paper.Based on this, a fivedimensional model of EIA, and a theoretical framework with 6 steps and 18 phases for realization of EIA are put forward.The authors think that computer technology and skill, IRM, TQM, information engineering and BPR should all be taken into consideration to cover EIA's intension and extension.
