%X Based on the point that the network externality is the only dimension of vertical differentiation, this paper analyzes the market structure under the condition of compatibility or incompatibility. The results show that the network strength and the number of competitors play key role in the market equilibrium. Besides, compatibility is conducive to the improvement of social welfare
