%X Based on the AHP and grey theory, a new method for evaluation of irrigation management is proposed in this paper. It combines the qualitative analysis with the quantitative analysis as a main purpose. The method can be used to solve the problem of multistage grey synthsizing evaluation very well. It can not only determine the sequence of appraised irrigation system (AIS) in sense whether it is good or bad but also appraise synthetically the grey classification of AIS. Furthermore, the sequence of the irrigation management with respect to different indexes can be obtained. The results of applying this method have shown that it makes the evaluation more effective.
