%X In this paper, two optimal fare\|pricing models are developed. One model is based on the passenger\|time\|value model, with the aim of maximizing receipts from charging fare. The other is based on the fare elasticity model, with the aim of maximizing receipts from charging fare in the prerequisite condition that the project operates in its full transport capacity. Furthermore, some principles are suggested, which government should abide by when urban rapid\|transport line project needs economic compensation, and some measuring methods are developed for calculating government compensation amount.
