%X This paper studies the theory of extension information that is an improtant software of extenics. The basic concepts of extension information are introduced, such as relative length, relative degree, similarity degree to different information and so on, which form the theory of characteristic analysis. Based on these, the organization and processing method of extension information, the way of searching extension information and the reasoning methods of combination of extension information's quantity and quality are discussed.
