%X This paper focuses on the research of signal timing for urban intersections with bus approaches.With the idea of bus priority and from the analysis of traffic's characteristic of China's urban intersections,a multi-objective programming function is constructed to minimize not only the total delay of bus operating but also the mean square value of saturations of car flows of all phases.The efficacy coefficient method is used to formulate an evaluation function that covers all objective functions of the original problem.The evaluation function is optimized by genetic algorithm for obtaining the satisfying signal timing scheme.The study is validated by a simulation test.
