%X A rectangular finite element method is analysed for a model for compressiblemiscible displacement with molecular diffusion and dispersion in porous media. A type of pointedge-element interpolation operator it is introduced. The interpolation function is applied toprove the optimal error estimates of a finite element scheme, which can not be obtained byclassical elliptic projection.
