%X There are many advantages of PbF2 crystal for usmg as a scintillating material in high energy physics research. The research history on the lummescence and scintillation of PbF2 crystals was reviewed, especially on the lummescene characteristics under the conditions of low temperature,phase transition and doping. The existing problems and solving methods were mentioned.
