The characteristic of silica sol-gel was applied successfully to colloidal forming of ceramics. The process is based on the casting of the slurry, containing powder and silica sol prepared by hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) at pH 12.8. Then the mixture forms gelled parts through silica sol-gel. Ceramic green parts with strength of 5MPa can be obtained by this method.
