%X The thermal stability of synthetic diamond in air was investigated by means of DTA, heat corrosion, SEM and compressive strength test. The oxidation decomposition temperature of the synthetic diamond in air was measured. Oxidation process and oxidation mechanism of the synthetic diamond in air were discussed.
