%X A class of strongly nonlinear evolution equations are studied. Using the variational iteration method, the corresponding varationa is first constructed,then the suitable initial approximation is selected; and then, by using the iteration method, the approximate solution of arbitrary degree of accuracy for the solitary wave is obtained.
