%X The doping effects of the boron (nitrogen, fluorine) are investigated in TiO2 nanoparticles by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. No phase change due to B (N, F)-doping in anatase-TiO2 nanoparticle was found, while significant lattice contraction and enhanced lattice distortion (large c/a-value) were observed in B (N, F)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles, which has been attributed to the occupation of the surface oxygen vacancies by B (N, F) dopants along c-axis of TiO2 crystal lattice. In addition, the absorption band shows evident red-shift for B (N, F)-doped TiO2, which may be related to the increase of lattice distortion (c/a-value) in TiO2 nanoparticles.
