%X A method of detecting the unpredictability of chaotic signals is put forward based on periodic orbit statistics. Chaotic time sequences come from analog circuit and numerical simulation respectively. Hot saddle periodic orbits are found and its regression spectrum and regression frequency are investigated. The results show that the method is adequate for detecting the unpredictability of chaotic systems.
