%X By comparing the kinematical equation of a shock wave propagating in free air and considering the boundary conditions with the Taylor equation based on the model of point explosion , it is concluded that the Taylor equation is a good approximation to the shock wave propagating in the medium distance. In addition,we also compare the equation with the propagation of the shock wave by a way intense explosion. The theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data.
