%X The generalized M2 factor of rotationally symmetric truncated beams is studied in detail by using the asymptotic analysis, generalized truncated second-order moments method and self-convergent beam width approach. The physical relation between the three methods and how to determine the generalized M2 factor in a unified way are analyzed and illustrated with numerical results.
