%X A quantum optical true random number generator based on splitting a beam of photons at a 50/50 beamsplitter has been demonstrated. A continuous stream of random numbers at a rate of 200 kbit/s can be generated. A mathematical method (Huffman coding and data compressing) is used to improve the ratio of 0 and 1 bits in the original random number arrays.
