%X We have studied analytically the electron effective mass of single-wall carbon nanotubes. The relation between the effective mass of electrons at the bottom of lowest-lying conduction band and the tube diameter and chirality has been discussed. It is shown that geometrical structures have very important effect on the electron effective mass of single-wall carbon nanotubes.
