%X A method of generating optical phase conjugation by degenerate four-wave mixing in azo-doped nematic liquid crystal is proposed.The mechanism of liquid-crystal reorientation is analyzed.A simple physics picture is given,the theory is consistent with experiment results.The experiment results will have potential applications in nonlinear optics and other fields.
