%X By means of a new formalism of the Kronig-Penney model developed recently, the third order nonlinear optical effect of intersubband transitions in superlattices is studied. It is shown that there is a general relation between optical saturation intensity and tunnel bandwidth. The physical mechanism of this relation is analyzed.
