%X Based on equation of motion of the two-level atomic density matrix, we have studied theoretically the relation between the radiation force on an atom in the standing wave field and the atomic induced absorption rate and induced radiation rate. We find that the radiation force on an atom in the standing wave field consists of induced absorption force and induced radiation force. This piont of view is also valid in the circumstance of interaction between an atom and N plane waves.
