%X The specific heat coefficient and magnetization of the heavy electron metals in a nonzero magnetic field are calculated by using the slave boson mean field theory. The results indicate that the heavy fermion feature of the system is depressed in the magnetic field. A theoretical explanation for anomalous volume magnetostriction of the heavy electron metals is also given in this paper.
