%X The theory and approach of the eigenvalue problems of the imaging integral operator of finite domain are discussed in detail. The approximation solution of the imaging integral operator equation is derived by expanding the eigenfunctions in the space of the zeroth-order eigenfunctions. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for real microscopic objectives with symmetric aberrations are calculated in terms of the measured LSF data. The experimental system is described and the results are discussed.
