It possesses the advantages of both storage and correlator, as well as the real-time character of photorefractive devices. It can performa real-time and fast selection of imformation correlated to the input ones from a great amount of stored imformation. The correlation degree of every information with the input ones and its coding number are immediately obtained from the intensity and position of the correlation points. This principle is based on the selectivity of photorefractive matched filter.
