%X The analytic expressions of local damping rate of ordinary and extraordinary modes in perpendicular propagation have been obtained on the basis of the general expressions of the dielectric tensor for the weakly relativistic anisotropic Maxwellian distribution function. The effects of the anisotropy of the distribution function and loss cone type distribution function on the local damping rate have been discussed.
