%X 68 space groups of the tetragonal system have been analysed for the case of crystals containing one heavy atom in the asymmetric unit. Possible heavy atom positions which lead to multiple solution of the light atoms are tabulated together with the corresponding pseudo-symmetry, the multiple solutions of light atoms and the distribution rule of the components of structure factors among different parity groups.
