%X To elucidate the mechanisms of yeast extraction and Echlonia Kurome Okum water extraction to stimulate the growth of Escherichia coli. Two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) and bio-mass-spectrum were used to observe the changes of whole-protein expression caused by certain stimulants. It was found that the expression of 8 proteins changed in different ways. Two proteins leveled up but failed to be identified; 4 proteins declined much more in experimental groups than in control. There are some proteins participating to regulate growth of Escherichia coli.
