The maximum concentration of theophylline degraded by Tcn3 is 3 000mg/L. When the concentration of theoplyline is 1 000mg/L, a complete degradation only needs 48h. For Tcn3 degrading theophylline, the optimal pH is 8^0 and K++ is the necessary element. The sequence analysis of a 1 500bp 16SrDNA fragment amplified from total DNA of strain Tcn3 and the traditional identification methods was used to identify Tcn3. The results showed that Tcn3 shares 99.7% 16S rDNA sequence homology with Paracoccus versutus type strain ATCC 25364. In phylogenetic framework of bacterial classification, Tcn3 belongs to proteobacteria; alpha subdivision; Rhodobacter group: Paracoccus versutus. %K Theophylline %K Biodegradation %K 16S rDNA %K Paracoccus versutus
