%X The chromosomal DNA of Thiobacillus versutus was hybridized with various heterologous ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (RubisCO) gene as probes. Only Rhodobacter sphaeroides form I RubisCO gene showed homology with T. versutus. The RubisCO gene fragment of T. versutus was isolated using the RubisCO gene of R sphaeroides as a probe. And the RubisCO gene of T. versutus can express in E.coli cell.
