%X In recently, the pollution in water is more and more serious. Scientists detected some carcinogens in the chlorinated drink water. We detected the mutation of the source water and its chlorinated drink water in the Pearl River by the Ames test. The study shows some samples have high mutation, and the mutation of the chlorinated drink water is higher than that of source water. As a result, it is necessary to study the mutation of drink water and improve the drink water disinfecting and producing technique.
