%X After testing the resistance of streptomycin to Micromonospora purpura No 49 12,a lot of streptomycin resistant(str)mutants were screened after the spores regenerated on the lethal media when they were treated with 3 different dosage of super mutageng EMS We have abtained the high yield strain 49 12 13 from these str mutants which the productivity is beyond 40% higher than the original strain's in the rotation flask experiments The ratio between C 2b and C 1a in the micronomicin has been increased 5:5 to 8:2, the effective component of C 2b is 30% more than the original strain's It was showed that the streptomycin resistance mutation of the strains had closely relation with the yield mutation of the micrnomicin, and the rate of 40% of the positive mutation is larger than the rate of 26% of the negtive nutation
