On the bases of morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics, as well asthe analysis of the structure of internal photosythetic membrance we propose the strain SDH2 for Rhodobactercapsulatus according to Bergey's Manual of Determinative Bacteriology (ninth edition) and JF Imhaff's Taxnomyand physiology of Photorophic Purple Bacteria and Green Sulfur Bacteria Growth and nitrogen fixation activity ofSDH2 were accelerated in co-cultures with other two nitrogen-fixing bacteria, SDB4 and SDB6. %K Rhodobacter %K capsulatus %K Rice root %K Associative nitrogen fixation
