%X Adopting the method of cireular column on PDA plato, purified chihnase from Strptongces sp. S01 had dishnchvely inhibihve effect on Penicillium chrysogenum, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and such pathogenic fungi of plant as Valsa sordida, Botryris sp. As 3.2616, Cladosporium cucumerinum, phytophthora capsici, Verticillium albo-atrum and Rhizoctonia solani etc. When chihnase was added into the liqind substrates of the above six stains of patrhogenic fungi of plant abnormal phenomena as twishng, deformation,conglomerahon of protoplasm, and exosmosis happened on the hyphae. In high osmolarity soluhons, treated with chihnase, the cell walls of Sacchromyces cerevisiae, Bortytis sp.AS3.2616 and Penicillium were broken and protoplasts were set out.
