%X Optical and scanning electron microscopical study was made on the naturally generat-ing nodule of Alnus glutinosa and its endophyte-Frankia which grown in Yunnan. The resultsshown that the structure of this nodule is very similar to Alnus glutinosa nodule grown in situ andthat of AInus nepalensis which grown in Yunnan. The endophyte which isolated from Alnus gluti-nosa nodule was also qualifing the typical characteristics of Frankia.
