Because the material, energy and power foundations of upward migration exist, rnicroelements V and Ni in oil gas pool source migrate vertically above and are distributed in the above environment. Using different methods to extract and analyze the V and the Ni content in soil, rock debris and formation water, we can know the V and Ni distribution characteristics and therefore may understand such information as oiliness in strata or the lower beds, the environment of deposition, the marine or continental deposit, the origin, and the oil source rock quality. %K V and Ni %K Vertical migration %K Organic phase state %K Soil total quantity %K Index %K Petroleum geological significance
