%X Orthogonal test and central combination design was coupled to optimize SCPfermentation mediam of Astragatussinics juice. The experiment results showed that, theoptimum medium was 2.3% initial glucose, 0.16% yeast extract, KH_2PO_4 0.2%, MgSO_40.05%, the cell density was 10.46g/L, the biomass yield factor was 0.55 and the substrateconversion ratio was 83%. The study process also illustrated that the statistical methoddecreased experimental times compared with conventional method and became simplified.
