%X This article discussed the definition of hydrocarbon accumulation system and maintained that the hydrocarbon accumulation system, different from petroleum system, was an individual concept, which can be regarded as the assembly of factors of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation. The research focus of hydrocarbon accumulation system was in oil and gas reservoir. Based on the analysis for the tectonic features, hydrocarbon accumulation factors and features, the southern Junggar foreland basin can be divided into three hydrocarbon accumulation systems and eight hydrocarbon accumulation sub-systems. The space distribution of hydrocarbon was obviously effected by the differences of hydrocarbon accumulation system.
