%X According to the research on relationship between the nature of Chinese medicinals and their clinical effect, a new framework was proposed in this paper. Chinese herbal medicine with determined traditional effect was used as study subject. Concept of nature combination and comparing research results on different nature combinations were conducted in order to find the law in nature-effect relationship, features of herbal medicine in functional mechanisms and active compounds, targets and their distribution in tissues. Through integration of information on different levels, a systematic network covering Zheng-Effect-Nature can be established. This systematic network can be used to elucidate the scientific significance of the nature theory and to provide scientific basis for rational application or R&D of herbal medicine.
