%X This paper presents a strategy of medicinal plant chloroplast genome sequencing based on the progress in plant chloroplast genome sequencing. It also discusses the issues in species selection, sequencing platform choice, and comprehensive application of bioinformatics tools, as well as the technical difficulties in sample extraction, analysis and detection.
