%X An information and data system for Chinese Medicine was designed for storage,management and knowledge-min- ing of the basic information like historic and reference data,and the modern research data on chemistry and biology to assist the systematic research on Multi-Component Chinese Medicine.This system includes an information and data li- brary subsystem,a data managing subsystem and a data processing subsystem,which is more comprehensive than the database existed.The construction step of this system,and the related structure,relationship and function of three subsystems were introduced,which provides a theoretical guider for developing a powerful information tool for modern- ization of Chinese Medical and Chinese Medicine.
