%X The study is aimed to understand the scientific thinking,theories of epidemic febrile diseases of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),research capacity and methods,and the ability to master modern cutting-edge technology by TCM doctors on infectious diseases.The purpose is to train a group of professionals engaged in the integration of TCM research and clinical activities in infectious diseases.Self-designed questionnaire was used in the investigation of 61 TCM doctors,who were from 34 key research laboratories appointed by the State Administration of TCM against infectious diseases and another two institutes.The results showed that the recovery rate of the questionnaire was 98.4%.The respondents showed limitations in four aspects of knowledge,which includes TCM theories of epidemic febrile diseases,infectious disease clinic,infectious disease research,and scientific thinking.It is concluded that the overall condition of respondents was still far from being satisfactory.It is imperative to carry out related trainings.
