%X With the unique and exact curative effects, Tibetan medicine is needed in both domestic and international markets .Conducting a systematic research on Tibetan medicine may provide a cut-in point of the primary motivation, which could promote the modernization research of Tibetan medicine. It was analyzed and summarized in many aspects about Tibetan medicine through reviewing the literatures during the last 20 years, such as the general situation of Tibetan medicine resources, their categories and quantities, classification records, their names and the original plant species. According to the illustration of the current situation that the original species of Tibetan medicine materials are unclear and the varieties are confused, we can see the variety systematization is of necessity and urgency, and some methods or suggestions are offered. Our finding will contribute to the variety systematization and the development of Tibetan medicine.
