%X Bioadhesive microspheres are taken as drug delivery microsphere formulations. Bioadhesive microspheres provided extend drug residence time and sustained release, controlled release and other advantages. Bioadhesive microspheres promote drug absorption and improve drug bioavailability. Thus, the bioadhesive microspheres have caught attention from scholars both at home and abroad. This article mainly summarized advances in bioadhesive microspheres research both at home and abroad in recent years. It included commonly used preparation methods and clinical application of bioadhesive microspheres. This article also gave suggestion on the establishment of unified evaluation standards for bioadhesive microspheres.
