%X Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) disease name classification system is the basic framework for the standardized terminology in TCM. Few studies have been conducted on current TCM literature and disease terminology standards. The TCM disease classification system should be further improved from the systematic, scientific, practical and stability aspects. In accordance with the analysis on the characteristics of TCM disease classification system, this article discussed the TCM disease name classification system. Guided by the national health industry standards for the classification of medical terminology, international principles of the classification of medical terminology, which have been used widely, were also referred to be used in the study.
